What do you really need in the first year of baby's life

Becoming a parent is a wonderful thing and an amazing experience. Clueless as to what their first born child might need, future parents can become frustrated once they start calculating what they need to buy. So what do you really need for that first year of your baby’s life?

Diapers

You can never have enough diapers. If you have a baby on the way, make sure you buy a lot of diapers since you will be changing them quite often and run out of them very soon. Make additional room for the diapers next to your changing table, so they are always easy to reach. Also avoid disposable diapers since they contain chemicals that might be harmful for the baby, and instead choose unbleached diapers with organic cotton.

Baby Bath Tub

Bathing is a unique bonding process between the baby and their parent, and it should be done using a baby bath tub. Regular tubs for grownups may be slippery and therefore dangerous, more complicated, and frustrating, but with the baby bath tub the process will go much smoother and stress free. That way you are sure to have a fun and enjoyable bathing time.

Crib

Of course you baby needs a safe place to sleep. Some parents might find it hard to separate from the baby at this point, but it is really important that the baby gets used to sleeping in a crib from day one. Remember that you will use the crib for a few years, and if you decide to have more children they can sleep in it too, so think of it as a long term investment. Find a crib that is made from organic, non-toxic materials and that is cozy, since the baby will be spending most of the time in the crib.

Stroller

It is important that the stroller is comfortable and adjustable, so it can be used during infancy and later when the baby outgrows it. There are various types of strollers, depending on your needs. If you will be carrying the stroller a lot, you can get the lightweight stroller. There are also jogging strollers, and of course traditional strollers. Make sure that the stroller you get has a system for easy opening, so you don’t get frustrated or waste time and energy on getting it to open.

Steamer and blender

Proper nutrition is imperative at this age. There are various and easy options for parents that they can find in stores, but with the combined steamer and blender it’s easy to prepare your own food and much healthier for the baby, since there are no additives and artificial foods. They are simple to use, and it takes less than thirty minutes to prepare a healthy, nutritious and vitamin rich meal for your child.

Baby Sleeping Bag

Baby Sleeping bags provide a safe and comfortable feeling that your baby had while it was in the womb. These bags help the baby transition, allowing them to sleep better, wake up less during the night, and it also protects them from the cold.

Baby Bottles and pacifiers

There are numerous baby bottles that you can choose from, but you should avoid plastic bottles. Either go for BPA-free bottles or buy glass bottles. The problem with glass bottles is that they are heavier and can break, so BPA-free bottle maybe the safest choice. Some parents do not want to give pacifiers to their babies, but they are extremely helpful, especially when it is baby’s time to go to sleep. They are also preventing them from sucking their thumbs, which may affect the growth of their teeth.

Car seat

In most countries car seats for babies are required by law. When thinking about the safety of your child, car seat is a must. There are various types of car seats available, and they can be adjusted to suit your child when they grow bigger.

Soon the time will come for the baby’s first birthday. One of the things you will need is a place for the birthday party. There are some great kids birthday party places that provide the necessary space, and also handle the organization. Most of them offer different party packages for you to choose from to ensure that you get what you want.

These are the fundamental things you should have when the baby arrives. There will be enough time for numerous toys and cute outfits later, but these are the things you should definitely have to be ready for what is ahead.
